Station 12-7 dispatched for a reported dwelling fire in the Dorothy section of Weymouth Township. Engine 1272 arrived finding an active chimney fire. Members disassembled stove pipe and chimney cap exposing the fire. A chimney chain was deployed to knock down creosote that had accumulated. Fire was placed under control after 30 minutes with no additional damage. 10 members responded (3) engines and an ambulance. We were assisted by Station 12-4 & 12-5.
