Station and BLS 12-7 responded on Tuckahoe Road in Estell Manor for a reported MVC with entrapment. Upon arrival EMS duty crew confirmed two drivers both trapped and requested MediVac to fly for one patient. 12-7 all call BLS was requested for a 2nd ambulance Rescue 1272 crew arrived with a crew of (4) and quickly freed the patient who needed to be flown with battery spreaders, the crew then split to assist packaging the 1st patient and extricating the 2nd patient. 2nd patient was ground transported to a regional trauma center with non life threatening injuries. A total of staff responded (2) ambulances and our rescue truck. As it usually goes another EMS call went out shortly after 1st patient was air lifted. 1274 quickly deconned and handled the call.
